Being inspired
On a nice sunny day, while lounging on a terrace, a friend—a developer with a start-up—approached me with an exciting proposition: to lend my design expertise to their new app venture. Without hesitation, I agreed, driven not by the project's specifics but by two simple truths: the pleasure of collaborating with familiar faces and the genuine desire to contribute my skills. And so, BKMT IT-Systeme GmbH found its designer for the project.
Starting point
The journey began with seeking inspiration and integrating it with already existing ideas. 'Something simple and straightforward' served as my guiding principle.
Drawing from my familiarity with Düsseldorf's culinary landscape (I know like 3 burger places), I found inspiration in the tasty and special offerings of a particular burger joint- 5p-style- known for its cool design. This served as a natural starting point. Additionally, Gasoline Grill's aesthetic approach further helped with my creative direction.
Ah, the bottomless resources of Behance, Dribbble, and the rest of the internet served as an endless reservoir of ideas—a treasure for creating patchwork, simulating new ideas and just enjoying good design itself.
Asking qustions
Where’s the flow, user?
I've developed a certain rhythm in constructing user flows. Clever, isn't it? Nevertheless, based on prior experience, I've come to realise the significance of devoting extra energy into creating those detailed user flows. It's vital, as it not only smoothens the process but also aids in developing the wireframes. This task is comparable to putting together a puzzle: with precise attention to detail, the segments begin to align, leading to a more integrated and successful design.

Information Blueprinting
In this brief project, true to the essence of UX development, a crucial aspect involves engaging real users—the more, the merrier. While they consistently play pivotal roles, they may not always be visible. However, in this instance, they took centred stage during card sorting exercises.
Below, I outlined some of the key insights gained from the card sorting sessions, culminating in the creation of the sitemap.
